So I’m sitting on the streetcar today reading The Metro and I come across a bit about Ted Haggard and how he cured his homosexuality by going through three weeks of intensive counseling. This is one of the more ridiculous comments that I have heard in recent times and it could only come from a religious nut or a right wing politician. Dude, you are homosexual or you are not, it’s not something you can turn off. I’m not sure if this comment makes me angry or if its just funny and Ted should continue to live in his own little word.

If this is the case maybe I can get some intensive counseling and cure myself of my carnivorous ways. Right now I firmly believe that salad is the food that food eats. With a little counseling maybe I could be cured and embrace iceberg lettuce as the new Kobe Beef. This is notwithstanding the fact that I firmly believe that all vegetarians can be (and should be) cured.

Even better, since I was raised Catholic (through no choice of my own) maybe I can get counseling to cure me of my Catholic-ness.

Maybe I should compile a list of the insane comments that get me going.
