It seems to me that every second cube I walk past has Facebook open. I’m guilty too, I bet you that I’m on the site 5 to 10 times a day. Its just brutal….. but good at the same time. I’ve reconnected with tons of old friends.
On some level I feel like a dirty old man because I think Facebook started off as a high school or college type site.
Not lying… I just went to Facebook in the middle of this blog posting because an old friend sent me a message. I need to get myself under control.

I just wrote a blog that might partially answer the question of Facebook’s dark side… you might be interested in reading it.
It’s quite a phenomenon…

What is the link to your external survey that Facebook slapped you on the wrist for posting?

I finally signed up for Facebook after weeks of friends sending me invite requests. It’s not too bad, as I’ve got to re-connect with old friends, but most people I was still somewhat in contact with.
Once I added a bunch of friends, I found the site to be somewhat boring. However, I still go on it 5-10 times a day haha.

Apparently the Ontario government thinks Facebook is evil …

I heard that on the news today……. probably a good idea…. I wish my company would block it.

I know what you mean … if I didn’t have access to “social networking tools”, I don’t think I’d miss them. But just knowing they’re available, it becomes a compulsion to check ALL the time.
